“25 Years of the Surfing Walk of Fame (Huntington Beach)" Project Director Peter "PT" Townend - RARE 1st (and only) PRINT Hardcover (10-1/4" x 12-1/4") - Published in 2021 by The Huntington Beach Surfing Walk of Fame - 176 pages (with numerous great color and black & white photos) - NEAR MINT condition.  Dedicated to the Iconic surfing legend Duke Kahanamoku, this SCARCE book celebrates 25 years of the Huntington Beach (California) Surfing Walk of Fame from 1994 to 2019.  Each member (137 at the time of publication) inducted into the Surfing Walk of Fame is commemorated in this fabulous book, each with a full-page which includes a bio and great photo.  The Surfing Walk of Fame includes such surfing immortals as Corky Carroll, Bruce Brown (filmmaker of the iconic surfing film, "Endless Summer"), Hobie Alter (creator of surfboards, skateboards, beachwear, etc.), Pam Burridge (the "Mother Superior" of women's surfing), Dick Dale (the "King of Surf Guitar), Kathy "Gidget" Kohner (the inspiration for her father's novel "Gidget"), Mickey Munoz, Steve Pezman (publisher,  with his wife Debbie, of The Surfer's Journal), Donald Takayama (considered the first ever professional surfer), Buzzy Trent, Dewey Weber (who was featured in nearly all the surf movies of the late 50s and early 60s), just to name a few.  There is also an honor roll with mini-bios and photos of many of those who were prominent in Southern California surf culture over the years.  The art of the surfboard is also featured with great color photos of many of the most recognizable boards of the era. Again, this SCARCE book is in NEAR MINT condition (see the scan). No collection of books on surfing is complete without this one.
