A rare and beautifully preserved ALGO of Switzerland matching shirt and trouser set, believed to date from the late 1960s or early 1970s.
This remarkable ensemble came directly from its original owner, now aged 87, who wore it in her youth. It remains in immaculate condition with no apparent signs of wear.
The partly semi-sheer cotton shirt combines multicoloured polka dots, painterly flowers and raised white floral texture. It is finished with a pointed collar, lustrous pink buttons and gently gathered cuffs. The matching high-rise trousers feature the multicoloured spotted print, a cropped length and dramatic 7" splits at the outside ankles. They have no pockets.
Founded in Zurich in 1917, ALGO became known for hand-tailored womenswear, beautiful fabrics and clothing designed to last for generations.
