Material description:
The cabinet is made from Sony Bulk Molding Compound (BMC), a high-density composite material long used in Sony’s anti-resonance designs.

BMC is engineered for high rigidity and excellent internal damping. Unlike metal structures, it effectively suppresses unwanted vibration and resonance.

Composition includes calcium carbonate (a key component of marble), glass fiber reinforcement, and unsaturated polyester.

Materialbeschreibung:
Das Gehäuse besteht aus Sony Bulk Molding Compound (BMC), einem hochdichten Verbundmaterial, das seit langem in Sonys Anti-Resonanz-Konstruktionen verwendet wird.

BMC ist auf hohe Steifigkeit und starke innere Dämpfung ausgelegt. Im Gegensatz zu Metallkonstruktionen reduziert es effektiv unerwünschte Vibrationen und Resonanzen.

Die Zusammensetzung umfasst Calciumcarbonat (Hauptbestandteil von Marmor), Glasfaserverstärkung und ungesättigtes Polyester.
