Lib Tech Orca Snowboard NEW 2026

The 2026 Lib Tech Orca is a thing dreams are made of. This directional, all mountain powerhouse was designed to be a freeride king and personify the essence of fun on the mountain. Float like no other through pow with its directional, hybrid camber shape and long floaty nose, while the shorter, more aggressive sidecut allows you to still power into your turns and carve the mountain to pieces without having to worry about washing out. Whether you are thinking about going overseas to partake in some steep and deep powder, or carve up every resort here in Australia, the Orca will make swift work of any terrain in its way. * Due to the volume shift on this board, we recommend you ride this board 3-6cmshorter than your normal board. * Travis and Mervin MFG. will be donating a portion of the sale of each Orca snowboard to the Orca Conservancy in support of their efforts to prevent the extinction of the Salish Sea's Southern Resident Killer Whales. Board Type: Freeride-Powder. Freeride snowboards are built for steeper, off-piste terrain. These boards are ideal for aggressive riding and usually for more advanced riders. Powder snowboards are designed for deep snow. Generally these boards feature a directional shape with a tapered tail for better float and ease of riding. Flex: 6/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff) Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding. Ability Level:Intermediate-Advanced. Intermediate snowboards offer more responsiveness and stability at higher speeds, with a slightly stiffer flex for better control on varied terrain and more advanced manoeuvres. Advanced snowboards are stiffer and more responsive, designed for high-speed control, precision riding, and handling challenging terrain or tricks. Shape: Tapered Directional A tapered directional snowboard features a shape where the tail is narrower than the nose, providing enhanced control and stability in deeper snow. This design improves floatation in powder and allows for smoother turns, making it ideal for freeride and backcountry riding. While it excels in one direction, the taper helps the board naturally guide you through challenging conditions. Camber Type:Orca C2x Directional. Lengthened camber in the nose and tail with a shortened rocker in the nose offers extreme control, precision, and float all over the mountain. Width: Standard. Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes. Inserts: 2x4 Inserts. These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments. They're common on modern boards and ideal for riders who want fine-tuned positioning and can be used with any binding with a standard or mini disk. Board Construction Topsheet:Eco Sublimated Poly Topsheet. This topsheet is made using an eco-friendly sublimation that is both strong and environmentally friendly. Laminate:Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax Fiber with Basalt Alloy. The Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax alloy glass offers a smooth ride while keeping weight low and the addition of Basalt fiber creates a lightweight, strong, and damp ride. Core: HP Horsepower Construction Core. Lighter, environmentally nicer, and smoother. Combines 60% Aspen and 40% Paulownia woods with Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax Fibreglass for a lighter, smoother, and damp ride. Sidewall: Birch Internal, UHMW Sintered Sidewall. Durable, high-impact ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. It delivers exceptional impact resistance, superior resilience, and a smooth, damped ride. Base: Sintered Knife Cut Base. This base is made of a fast sintered material with a die-cut base to reduce waste. Additional Features: Magne-Traction. Seven strategically placed serrations along the edges of the board grip onto the snow and hold a strong edge in any condition. UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection. By removing the edge around the nose and tail and replacing it with UHMW material, you no longer need to worry about running your nose and tail into objects and damaging the edge. This makes it easy to repair and reduce swing weight.
