Beautiful set of three Art Deco style figural stem cordial / liqueur glasses featuring lamp-worked nude female figures supporting delicate blown glass bowls.

These unusual glasses are strongly reminiscent of figural stemware associated with the Bimini Werkstätte tradition founded by Fritz Lampl in the 1920s. Pieces of this type were often produced in the Lauscha glassmaking region of Germany and Austria and are prized for their delicate lamp-worked sculptural figures.

Each glass features:

• Hand-blown pale green bowl

• Applied bubble / prunt decoration around the bowl

• Lamp-worked amber nude female figure stem

• Decorative green knop at stem connection

• Hand-formed base

The sculptural stems and hand-applied details give these glasses wonderful Art Deco character and make them striking decorative display pieces as well as unique cordial glasses.

These are excellent conversation pieces and a wonderful addition to an Art Deco glass collection.

Condition

Very good vintage condition overall.

• No chips or cracks noted to the bowls or bases

• One glass has a small stabilized hairline near the figure’s arm (see close-up photos)

• The piece remains structurally sound and displays beautifully

As with most hand-blown art glass, minor irregularities and variations from the making process are present and are part of the character of the pieces.
