The vase has a rough pontil mark on the base along with a few tiny dark manufacturing inclusions within the glass from the original production process. These are original manufacturing characteristics of hand-blown glass and are not damage. Two photos were taken under UV light (365nm and 395nm) to showcase the glass under black light.
