Why This Matters

Resealed packs are sometimes created by scammers who remove high-value cards and replace them with bulk commons before resealing. All our packs are sourced from legitimate Pokémon products (collection boxes, tins, booster boxes, bundles, etc.). We carefully inspect every pack and provide clear photos.

Visual Inspection: Key Differences

Original Factory-Sealed Packs:

• Crimp/Seal: Sharp, uniform, machine-pressed edges. Consistent across packs from the same set. May include tiny air holes (some sets have them in corners; older sets may vary to account for temperature/pressure changes).
• Wrapper Fit & Feel: Loose and flexible. Cards inside shift slightly when gently handled.
• Glue/Residue: None — official packs use heat-sealing only.
• Back Flap/Seam: Clean heat seal. Slight lifting on the back flap is normal in some Sword & Shield and older sets.
• Overall Appearance: Even foil coloring, balanced air distribution. No melted or flattened areas.

Resealed/Tampered Packs (Major Red Flags):

• Crimp/Seal: Puffy, uneven, flattened, melted-looking, or overlapping edges.
• Glue Residue: Visible white/shiny sticky spots, hardened patches, or peeling glue.
• Wrapper Fit: Cards feel stuck together; wrapper feels unnaturally tight or rigid.
• Back Flap/Seam: Overly stiff, cemented, or shows signs of forced opening.
• Other Signs: Color mismatches, overlapping text on crimps, or unnatural stiffness.

Physical “Touch” Tests

• Card Slide Test: Gently shake or press the pack — cards should slide freely inside an authentic pack.
• Air & Flex Test: Authentic packs feel balanced and flexible. Slight “puffiness” can occur naturally due to temperature and pressure changes during shipping.

Important Note on Factory Variations

Sword & Shield, older sets, and some Scarlet & Violet packs can have slightly imperfect factory seals or loose back flaps. A single minor imperfection does not mean tampering — look for multiple red flags together (especially glue + poor crimp + stuck cards).
