Vintage advertising brochure for the defunct Santa's Village in Scotts Valley, California

Scotts Valley, California (just off Highway 17, nestled inside a natural redwood forest setting)
Open from May 30, 1957, until it closed permanently in 1979 due to declining attendance and financial distress. The This was the second of three original "Santa's Village" theme parks created by developer Glenn Holland. The others were located in Skyforest (Lake Arrowhead), California, and Dundee, Illinois
The park featured storybook-style log chalets, a gingerbread house, a toy factory, a lifestyle petting zoo with real reindeer, and a variety of family-friendly rides
Today, the land is occupied by a residential development, but the original freeway exit off Highway 17 still retains the name "Santa's Village Road".
