A superb vintage Russell Hobbs Chelsea Teamaker, model 7106, complete with its original retail box and instruction booklet.

Made in Great Britain around 1980, the Chelsea Teamaker combines an alarm clock, bedside lamp and automatic single-pot tea or coffee maker in one compact appliance. Its distinctive cream casing, black analogue clock face and stainless-steel brewing pot make it an excellent example of late-1970s/early-1980s British appliance design.

This example appears to have had very little use, possibly only from testing!. It remains exceptionally clean for its age, including the brewing pot, perforated infuser and removable internal components.

Condition

Exceptionally clean vintage condition with very little evidence of previous use.

The casing retains a good cream-white appearance, while the clock face, control switches, lettering and chrome-effect trim present particularly well. The stainless-steel pot has only light storage or handling marks.

The removable brewing components are remarkably clean. There is some age-related spotting and discolouration to the circular heating plate beneath the pot, as clearly shown in the close-up photographs. This is cosmetic and consistent with the age of the appliance.

The original box has storage wear, creasing, marks, edge wear and a partially open upper flap. The instruction booklet is included.

Fully tested, including the clock, alarm, lamp, heating and automatic tea-making functions, and working correctly.

As with all vintage electrical appliances, buyers may wish to have it inspected by a qualified person before regular use.
