Up for your consideration is this vintage Pontoppidan Lutheran Church community cookbook from Rural Elliott, Illinois, published for the 1987-1988 church year. Contains 159 pages.

This spiral-bound cookbook was compiled by members and former members of the church and contains a collection of favorite family recipes, heritage information, and traditional Midwestern home cooking.

Contents include appetizers, pickles, relishes, soups, salads, vegetables, main dishes, breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, desserts, candies, jellies, preserves, beverages, and miscellaneous recipes. Submitters name are by each recipe.

The pages are in good condition and are clean, secure and intact. I flipped through the pages and didn't see any writing, but I could have easily missed a page. The cover has some wear along edges and spotting.
