This finely worked Burmese silver bowl is executed in repoussé and chased silver, displaying a continuous high-relief narrative frieze characteristic of the Konbaung period. The exterior is richly decorated with courtly figures in traditional Burmese dress, interspersed with Hamsa (mythical birds), stylised trees, and architectural elements, creating a dynamic and harmonious narrative composition.

The rim is enriched with scrolling foliate decoration, while the lower border is finished with a continuous lotus-petal frieze. The interior is further embellished with a chased lotus-petal border, demonstrating the exceptional level of craftsmanship devoted to both the interior and exterior of the vessel. Such narrative silver bowls embody the artistic achievements of eighteenth-century Burmese silversmithing and reflect the close relationship between courtly patronage, Buddhist culture, and ceremonial art.
