The Wagner program journeys through Lohengrin, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung, Tannhäuser and Die Meistersinger, with a 1938 performance of The Flying Dutchman Overture included as a bonus. It is both a compelling Wagner collection and a remarkable document from the closing chapter of one of the twentieth century’s most celebrated conducting careers.
