RARE LANGBEINITE - 1.5 cm

Langbeinite is a rare potassium magnesium sulfate. This small thumbnail is a crystalline mass of langbeinite off matrix. It is a very good example.

Sinkankas states that langbeinite is deliquescent; it will absorb moisture from the atmosphere. We have not seen that problem, but the specimen has been stored in a dry climate. We will ship the langbeinite specimen is a sealed plastic (micromount) display box.
