Vintage wooden shoe-shine and shoe-care box supplied with a large assortment of traditional brushes, polish tins, shoe creams, cloths and other accessories.

The box has a hinged top compartment, two pull-out drawers and a raised wooden carrying handle/footrest. The contents include a mixture of vintage and later shoe-care products from brands including Kiwi, Meltonian, Cherry Blossom, Tuxan and Punch.

An attractive display piece for a vintage dressing room, gentleman’s valet area, theatrical prop, militaria-themed collection or traditional shoe-care setup.

Condition

Vintage used condition.

The wooden box has scratches, marks, small chips, finish wear and staining consistent with age and previous use.

The latch used to secure the hinged top is broken/incomplete. A loose metal fitting is shown beside the box in the photographs. The lid still opens and closes, but it cannot presently be secured with its original latch.

The drawer handles, hinges and drawers show age-related wear. The box appears generally solid, but all fittings should be regarded as used.

Brushes show polish residue, staining, worn bristles and general use. Several polish and cream containers have been opened, and some contents appear dried, cracked, hardened or partly used. The vintage creams, aerosol and polishes are supplied primarily as collectible/display items and are not guaranteed suitable for continued use.
