    Installation Steps:

     

    • Remove the wheel lug nuts using a socket wrench and take off the wheel.
    • Unbolt the brake caliper, remove it, and suspend it with a wire or hook – do not let it hang by the brake hose.
    • Remove the brake rotor (disc).
    • If necessary, disconnect the brake line bracket and the parking brake cable.
    • Remove the bolts that secure the old dust shield to the knuckle or hub.
    • Take off the old shield. For one‑piece designs, you may need to cut it to extract it.
    • Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, and debris.
    • Install the new shield: for one‑piece types, align it with the mounting holes; for split‑piece types, assemble the two halves around the axle.
    • Install the mounting bolts. Clean any old threadlocker from the bolts and apply fresh thread‑locking compound.
    • Tighten the bolts to the manufacturer‑specified torque using a torque wrench.
    • Reinstall in reverse order: parking brake cable (if disconnected), brake rotor, brake caliper, and finally the wheel.

     

     

    Important Notes:

     

    • Always use a torque wrench and follow the specified torque values. Over‑ or under‑tightening can cause bolt failure or loosening.
    • When the caliper is removed, support it properly to avoid stressing the brake hose.
    • Clean bolts and apply fresh thread‑locking compound to prevent vibration‑induced loosening.
    • If you are not confident in your mechanical skills, have the job done by a qualified technician – brake systems are safety‑critical
