Condition Report
This piece is in very good vintage condition. The natural buff willow framework remains structurally rock-solid, tight, and robust with no severe breaks, unraveling, or missing wicker rods along the primary faces. The hand-twisted wicker handle is strongly anchored and comfortable to grip. The heavy-duty rear metal wire spiral hinges are completely stable, rust-free, and allow the lid to open wide and close squarely against the lower rim. The interior is clean, completely dry, and entirely free from persistent damp odours, rot, or major woodworm tracking. Displays minimal superficial surface fraying, minor uniform dust build-up within the weave channels, and light aesthetic storage wear commensurate with authentic mid-century age and holiday utility. (Please see the detailed gallery images for a closer look at the wicker patina and interior weave integrity).
