Great album, Auldridge's work highlighted well on this one, not to mention the performances of Lou Reid,and T. Michael Coleman. Alison Krauss is also featured singing harmony vocals. This is one of those albums that highlights Mike Auldridge as the versatile steel guitarist he was, as well as his expert resophonic playing. You will get to hear him play pedal steel guitar on this as well as the title cut, which features him on some seriously hard hitting distorted lap steel. The songs are more country sounding than bluegrass, but it is really a wide range of styles.
