Interest in Charanjit Singh has only grown since his rediscovery in the 2010s, when collectors and producers finally clocked how uncannily Synthesizing Ten Ragas To A Disco Beat pre-empted acid house. Light In The Attic now greenlight this 2026 reissue in cooperation with Singh's estate, recognising the record as missing link in music history rather than novelty curio. Beyond Synthesizing..., Singh spent decades as a Mumbai film stalwart, playing guitar, keyboards and accordion on hundreds of Bollywood sessions all while leading his own jazz and pop groups. He later returned to stage, performing the ragas live on vintage gear to astonished new audiences. Remastered and expanded with essays and archival photos, the new LITA set does final justice to Singh's most playful innovations.
