This takes 2 N Gauge tracks.
This is a real suspension bridge - it works as a suspension bridge. The deck is 1.3mm thick but will support 2X N Gauge tracks, and 2 fully loaded goods trains with ease. The arches are made from 300GSM card. By using thin materials, the scale becomes realistic - unlike chunky MDF alternatives. The parts are very flimsy until the bridge is built - it will then be rigid and strong.
This kit is aimed at experienced and skilled builders. The braces which interlink the arches are small and need to be located with tweezers. It is important that the braces are pushed squarely into the notches on the arch otherwise the arch will be twisted when finished. If you build the bridge correctly, it is amazingly detailed and very strong.
The bridge is fully coloured in grey - however they are easy to spray a different colour.
PVA glue required. Diagram construction instructions included. Flat packed.
Span overall - 295mm - the deck can be cut down to the arch anchor points, meaning the bridge can fit a gap of between 285 and 295mm.
The bridge can span a cutting between two walls or embankments as it is - or piers can be purchased to allow a multiple span.
