Up for sale is an exquisite piece of authentic mid-century Italian art glass: a Murano "Bizantino" (commonly referred to as "Tutti Frutti") tri-corner folded bowl / catchall dish, masterfully handcrafted in Italy circa 1950s–1960s. This specific style is famously attributed to the celebrated glasshouse AVEM (Arte Vetraria Muranese). The top of the piece features an incredible, exploding "scramble" of multi-colored latticino glass ribbons, white and pastel filigree canes, and vibrant millifiori murrine. The entire colorful collage is suspended in thick, crystal-clear glass, heavily accented with glittering silver aventurine metallic flecks. Flip the bowl over to find its gorgeous, deep emerald green cased backinglayered beneath the expanded silver foil base. The bottom surface shows a beautifully polished, authentic ground pontil scar confirming its fully hand-blown, artisan production. Dimensions: • Width / Diameter: Approx. 5.25 inches (5 1/4") • Shape: Organic tri-corner / rounded triangular folded rim Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
