RARE KURNAKOVITE - 7.4 cm

US BORAX MINE, CALIFORNIA 


This is a very good small cabinet specimen of kurnakovite off matrix. The specimen features one translucent crystal of the rare mineral. The crystal has one side with crystal faces. The other faces are cleavages, typical of the species. Kurnakovite crystals like this one are from early mining at the Boron open pit.


The specimen has a catalog tag 190 from the Burch collection (Arizona).
