Westminster EG Series LP Type Guitar Body – Made in Japan (1977)
This is an original Westminster EG Series LP-style electric guitar body removed from a Japanese-made instrument.
The original neck plate, removed from this guitar, is stamped:

Based on this original neck plate, this instrument was manufactured by Matsumoku Industrial Co., Ltd. in Japan in 1977.
Westminster was marketed as a budget line associated with Greco during the late 1970s. Instruments produced by Matsumoku are now appreciated by many players and collectors for their solid craftsmanship and distinctive Japanese vintage character.
This LP-type body features a brown sunburst finish with cream binding and a traditional dual-humbucker layout. Like many Japanese LP-style guitars from the period, the body has a chambered internal construction that provides a lighter weight while producing a lively, resonant acoustic response.
The body shows normal cosmetic wear from age, including scratches, dents, paint chips, finish wear, and marks around the pickup cavities and neck pocket. Please inspect all photographs carefully for the overall condition.
Only the body is included. The neck plate shown in the photographs has been removed and is not included unless otherwise stated. No neck, pickups, electronics, bridge, tailpiece, pickguard, or other hardware are included.
