In 1989, Pink Floyd staged a live concert on a floating stage in Venice, one of rock's most surreal spectacles. With St. Mark's Basin as backdrop, the David Gilmour-led lineup performed to nearly 200,000 people packed along the canals, merging their music with the city's haunting grandeur. The setlist leaned on A Momentary Lapse of Reason, threaded with classics like 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Comfortably Numb'. 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' opened like a prayer with its slow burn mirrored on the lagoon's surface, all while 'Sorrow' and 'Learning to Fly' amplified the night's sense of scale.
