Brussels-based British producer Kevin Richard Martin aka The Bug continues his late-career descent into low-end minimalism on this release for his own Pressure Recordings. Long rooted in dub, industrial electronics and experimental hip-hop, Martin slows everything to a narcotic crawl and lets pressure and atmosphere dominate the field. Tracks like 'Too Human' and 'Destroyed' pulse with distant kicks and cavernous sub-bass, all while 'Alien' and 'Iam Nothing' dissolve into blurred melody and drone. The record unfolds with glacial patience, repetition becoming both method and mood. It's severe, immersive and emotionally heavy, built for total absorption.
