This is a genuine Fernandes FGZ-420 electric guitar body, made in Japan in the late 1990s (estimated 1997-1999).
This guitar body features a beautiful transparent green quilted maple-style finish that gives it an eye-catching appearance. The HSH pickup routing and rear control cavity make it suitable for a wide variety of custom guitar projects.
The body has been stripped of all hardware and is offered as a replacement or restoration part. Based on its construction, weight, and internal wood appearance, the body is believed to be made of basswood, although the exact wood species has not been confirmed.
The transparent quilt-pattern finish appears to be a decorative veneer or photo-flame style finish rather than a solid quilted maple top.
