Up for sale is a classic SONY WM-EX9, a high-performance "Made in Japan" model. This unit features a unique MAZIORA color finish that shifts and changes color depending on the lighting and viewing angle, giving the Walkman a distinctive, beautiful iridescent appearance.
This unit has been kept in a home for many years and is currently in good working condition.
To make sure you can enjoy your music right away, I have personally performed the following maintenance:
New Belt: Replaced with a high-quality rubber belt.
Cleaning: Cleaned the head, pinch roller, gears, and internal parts.
Performance & Functions: I have confirmed the following operations:
Playback Tested: Basic functions—including Playback, Fast Forward (FF), Rewind (REW) and Auto Reverse—have been tested and are working properly using 7 different cassette tapes.
Sound Quality: The playback speed is stable with no significant wow or flutter. It plays music normally with classic Sony analog sound.
Vintage Audio Notice:
Although serviced, vintage cassette players may exhibit slight wow and flutter, speed variations, minor mechanical noise, occasional inconsistent button response, or temporary unstable operation after long periods without use. These behaviors depend heavily on tape condition, battery levels, and age-related characteristics.
