PROVENANCE:

 

This listing features autographs from the extraordinary Tominack Collection, a one-of-a-kind archive built over more than 70 years. Beginning in 1939, Pauline Tominack wrote from her hometown in Michigan's Upper Peninsula to her favorite celebrities, actors, and public figures. She continued her lifelong hobby until her passing in 2013, and in the 1980s she even retired from her day job to devote more time to collecting - eventually acquiring signatures from other collectors as well.


Your purchase includes a document of provenance (see the final photo). You will receive a printed copy of a delightful letter in which Pauline writes to Gigi Perreau, kindly requesting her autograph and briefly sharing her history as a collector. It is a charming glimpse into the dedication and personality behind this remarkable, decades-long collection.
