Beautiful and highly collectible vintage Fenton Art Glass Hen on Nest covered dish in a gorgeous Sea Mist teal / aqua green iridescent carnival glass finish. This piece has the color movement collectors love — shifting from teal to aqua, green, blue, silver, and soft metallic tones depending on the light.
This is Fenton’s desirable 5-inch Hen on Nest mold, ware #5186, featuring the classic split-tail hen lid, detailed molded feather pattern, raised head, defined wings, and matching nest base. The base has a strong molded striated texture with a scalloped rim, giving the dish depth, dimension, and excellent display presence.
The underside is marked with the raised Fenton script logo inside an oval, confirming this as an authentic Fenton Art Glass piece rather than a common unmarked hen-on-nest dish by another manufacturer. It is marked with the number 8, that places the piece in Fenton’s 1980s production period.
