Unlike standard mass-produced plastic or photo-print souvenirs, this distinctive rectangular piece features a highly detailed, completely hand-crafted cross-stitch/needlepoint depiction of the famous Nittany Lion Shrine. 

This piece is a wonderful example of vintage collegiate folk art, likely made using a premium blank paperweight craft kit in the 1970s or 1980s. Because the detailed textile artwork was meticulously stitched by hand, you will likely never see another one exactly like it.
