Brand, Size & Model: Fairfax 17 1/2" Open Seat Dressage Saddle from the Classic range with integrated fixed position surface knee blocks. Stamped SDO 175 CL. 

Colour & Material: Black full grain English hide and butt leather. 

Tree & Panel Type:  R-bar Simatree on wool flocked, prolite lined drop panels. Standard Wither.  We strongly recommend the saddle fit is checked by a qualified saddle fitter before use.

• Please expect general wear from use e.g. to seat, flaps from riders’ legs / stirrup leathers, girth straps and knee blocks.

• Flocking condition can vary and remains as received from the previous owner.

• Scrape RHS cantle edge, pic 14.

• LHS flap has indentation marks near bottom, pic 15.

• Upper side of knee blocks has small marks - my guess is from velcro loop on saddle cloth, pic 16.

• Second girth strap nylons are present and ready for your fitter to add straps to them if required.

A traditional two-flap dressage created especially for the rider who appreciates a little more room in their saddle seat, or a feeling of ‘space’. Crafted using top quality English leather especially for those who appreciate enhanced comfort and luxury in their dressage saddle. Designed using the research and development that went in to our Performance Products to ensure the horse benefits from Fairfax’s fitting features and girthing options.

• The Fairfax Classic Dressage has all the features common to every Classic saddle, plus the following comfort-enhancing details:

• Open and flatter seat for those who prefer a more ‘relaxed’ dressage position. The seat is not as ‘forward’ as the Classic Dressage.

• The design and placement of the billets provides girthing options to fine-tune the fit to the horse’s shape and movement.

• Luxurious double-oiled butt leather

• Super-soft full grain hide on the seat

• A stitched-on knee block which is smaller than the Classic Dressage and can accommodate a larger thigh while still providing comfortable support

• The addition of deep cushioning and ghost stitching on the knee pad means the support is softer and more accommodating for a variety of leg lengths and sizes.

❗ 5-Day Saddle Trial Terms & Conditions ❗
(Trials available to UK Mainland buyers only)

📦 Trial Period

• Trial begins on the day the saddle is delivered (including weekends & bank holidays).

• You must notify us by Day 5 if you wish to return the saddle. After this point, the sale is deemed final.

• The saddle remains your responsibility throughout the trial period and must be handled with appropriate care.

🚚 Returning the Saddle

• The saddle must be scanned in by your chosen carrier no later than Day 6, otherwise late return fees will apply.

• Return postage is at the buyer’s own cost.

• Any loss or damage during return transit remains the buyer’s responsibility. We strongly recommend using a reputable, fully tracked and insured delivery service.

💸 Fees & Refunds

• A £25 trial fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

• Refunds are usually issued within 48 hours after the saddle has been inspected and its condition confirmed.

• Any change in condition may result in deductions based on reduction in resale value.

⏰ Late Return Policy

• A £5 per day late fee applies from Day 7 onwards.

• If the saddle has not been returned by Day 14, the sale is deemed final.
