Beautiful and highly collectible vintage Fenton Art Glass Hen on Nest covered dish, made in the desirable Candleglow Yellow color with a soft transparent yellow glow and a small iridescent shimmer visible in the light. This is Fenton’s beloved 5-inch Hen on Nest mold, ware #5186, featuring the classic split-tail hen lid, detailed molded feather texture, and matching nest base.
The underside is marked with the raised Fenton script logo inside an oval with the number 8, which identifies this piece as a Fenton production from the 1980s. This yellow version is especially desirable because Fenton’s Candleglow Yellow #5186 Hen on Nest was produced for a short production window, commonly identified by collectors as 1983–1984.
This piece has all the wonderful details collectors look for: the steep split tail, finely molded feather texture, transparent yellow glass, subtle carnival-style iridescent shimmer, and the molded eggs inside the hen lid.
