Installation FT-817, FT-817ND & FT-818ND (important: If you have these models, the front microphone CAT port will not work)
• Set CAT speed - On the transceiver, press and hold the FUNC button for one second. With extended menu 
activated, rotate the SEL knob to menu #014 “CAT RATE”. Rotate the main tuning knob slowly until the desired 
bps is shown (4800, 9600 or 38400). Press and hold the FUNC button for one second to save the setting.
• Plug Cat display into CAT port - The cable between Cat Display and transceiver has fragile pins in its plugs. The
plugs only go into the sockets one way. Do not force them or you will break the plug, socket or both. Once you 
plug the CatDisplay into the transceiver, it will automatically communicate and update

Installation FT-857, FT-857D, FT-897 & FT-897D
• Set CAT speed - On the transceiver, press and hold the FUNC button for one second. With extended menu 
activated, rotate the SEL knob to menu #019 “CAT RATE”. Rotate the main tuning knob slowly until the desired 
bps is shown (4800, 9600 or 38400). Press and hold the FUNC button for one second to save the setting. The 
CAT speed is the same for both the rear and front microphone CAT ports.
• If using the rear CAT port: press and hold the FUNC button for one second. With extended menu activated, 
rotate the SEL knob to menu #020, “CAT/LIN/TUNER”. Rotate main tuning knob slowly until “CAT” selected. 
Press and hold the FUNC button for one second to save the setting.
If using the microphone CAT port: press and hold the FUNC button for one second. With extended menu 
activated, rotate the SEL knob to menu #059, “MIC SEL”. Rotate main tuning knob slowly until “CAT” selected. 
Press and hold the FUNC button for one second to save the setting.
• Plug Cat Display into CAT port.

Return Policy 

1. If buyer requests a return when there is no quality problem of the item he received,return postage has to be paid by buyer,and postage for the item won't be returned.

2. If item is damaged or defective on arrival,buyer can either requests a refund or replacement after offering pics/video for confirmation, and postage will be paid by us,meanwhile,the item must be returned.

 

Refund or Replacement request is available within 30 days after parcel received and returning the item as the same condition as received.

All items returned must contain all original packaging materials.

Please repack the item carefully. Items returned will be tested and a new replacement will be shipping to buyer punctually.

In the event that a suitable replacement is not available then a refund will be issued.

If the item was found non-defective, the item will be sent back to buyer at buyer's expense.

Items returned without authorization will be refused and returned to sender/buyer.

Buyer pay the shipping cost if the item damaged artificially, or buyer say not like it, size/color was different per they imaginary, etc.
