This listing is for a pair of antique Japanese Nippon hand painted porcelain mantle or table vases. The vases measures 11 1/2 inches high and are 5 3/4 inches wide at the shoulders.
The vases have a hexagonal shape with a low foot which supports the 6-sided body, they have a short neck and flared rim. The vases are in two colors, with a white on the bottom and a deep magenta over the rest of them. The vases are hand painted with large landscape scene featuring water and mountains. The vases are further enhanced with raised enamel work and heavy applied gold highlights throughout. They are signed on the bottom "NIPPON"
The condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs, there is some minor rubbing to the heavy applied gold. Please see the photographs for more on the look and condition of these fine Nippon vases as they are an important part of the description.
