This compact wooden zushi (厨子) houses a seated figure identified as Nichiren Shonin (日蓮上人) within an architectural altar setting, carefully sourced in Japan. The dark lacquered surface, aged metal fittings, and worn pigments create a deeply atmospheric appearance. The construction and devotional format are visually consistent with late Edo (江戸期) to early Meiji period (明治期) household shrines.
