The A159 is a “Made in Japan” themed watch that subtly embodies Japanese aesthetics.
Based on the A159 manufactured by Yamagata Casio, the dial features the traditional “Seigaiha” pattern. The “Seigaiha” pattern consists of overlapping concentric arcs that resemble waves; since the waves continue unbroken, the design embodies a wish for good fortune and peaceful days to last for a long time.
The dial features an elegant finish combining vapor deposition and printing. It shimmers subtly depending on the angle of the light, enhancing the contrast with the digital display. The deep indigo color lends the watch a profound presence and a calm, refined impression.
The back cover features the word “CASIO” in katakana, subtly expressing its Japanese craftsmanship.
