ANCIENT ORDER OF DRUIDS SILVER MEDAL 1886 STONEHENGE LODGE

Mystical & rare Ancient Order of Druids solid silver medal awarded to Brother J. C. McDowell of the Stonehenge Lodge in 1886.  Red silk ribbon with silver gilt enamel decorated hanger.  Original fitted leather case which is now in scruffy condition with a broken hinge.

Marks: No maker marks, this was a non retail hand made comission object.  


Dimensions: just under 2½ inches x 2½ inches.


Weight: 1.16 troy oz (36g) gross including the ribbon & hanger.

 

Remnants of gold wash decoration to the silver surface which is now largely perished.  The ribbon is scruffy.  The fitted box has a detached hinge & scuffed surfaces.  The medal is in very good condition.
