You are bidding on a toy plastic Mauser-style cap pistol made by Larami. According to Google AI, the red/black version was introduced in 1990, and is somewhat scarce. This example appears to be in very good condition, with only light wear at most; you almost can't see any without looking very closely. But I don't have a strip of caps to test it. The cap strip is fed into the back and it exits from the front (see pics). There is no obvious way of observing the mechanism without disassembly, which I am reluctant to do. However, I did feed it a large straight twist-tie, and I could feel the pistol grab it and attempt to pull it inside. Also, the trigger pull and loud 'CLICK!' of the hammer seem very satisfactory. So I am satisfied that this toy should work.
