Up for sale is an exceptional and highly collectable piece of Middle Eastern financial history: an original, multi-colored municipal bond (Bono / Tahvil) issued by the Alaşehir Municipality (Alaşehir Daire-i Belediyesi) in the Manisa province of Western Anatolia.
This document dates back to the Early Years of the Turkish Republic (1923–1928). While it proudly bears the official "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti" (Republic of Turkey) heading in the upper left corner, it was issued just before the 1928 Latin alphabet reform, making it completely written in Ottoman Turkish (Arabic script).
Two-Part Perforated Structure: The document is perfectly preserved with its original left-hand counterfoil/stub (koçan) still attached via the original perforation line.
Matching Serial Numbers: Registered as Volume 22 (Cildi) and Leaf 28 (Varaka) on both sides.
Vibrant Lithographic Design: Features beautiful, crisp pastel tones (pink, green, yellow) with traditional floral corners and a sunburst municipal emblem at the top.
Printer's Mark: Explicitly signed at the bottom center: "Marifet Matbaası - İzmir" (Marifet Press, Smyrna).
Unused / Near Mint: The document remains unissued/uncancelled with blank spaces for the value (Kıymeti) and owner's name, presenting a flawless graphical appearance
