This listing is for ONE Jan Barboglio Topper Votive Candleholder. Two are available, but they are sold individually — you will receive one votive with your purchase. If you would like both available pieces, please select quantity 2 before checkout.
Close-up photos were taken to clearly show the beautiful condition of the glass. There are no chips or cracks, and this piece has never been used. The thick mouth-blown glass shows the natural handmade character Jan Barboglio pieces are known for, including tiny seeded bubbles and artisan variation, which are part of the beauty of the glass and not damage.
This Jan Barboglio Topper Votive is a small but richly detailed luxury accent piece, pairing thick mouth-blown glass with a dark wax-cast iron stand in the signature Barboglio style. The ridged acanalada glass catches candlelight beautifully, revealing tiny seeded bubbles and organic handmade character that make each piece feel intimate, sculptural, and collectible.
The votive features a mouth-blown glass hurricane vessel with soft vertical ridging, resting on a thick glass balín sphere and perched on a hand-forged square iron base. When a candle is placed inside, the bubbles and ridges in the glass glow beautifully, giving the piece far more presence than its compact size suggests. It is ideal for layering on a mantel, console, bedside table, dining table, altar-style display, or grouped with other Jan Barboglio candle pieces.
The glass is thick, solid, and substantial, with the type of artisan irregularities collectors expect from mouth-blown work: tiny air bubbles, soft variations in the rim and form, and handmade glass character. These details are part of the charm and authenticity of Barboglio’s artisan production.
The iron stand has Jan Barboglio’s dark wax-cast finish, giving it a rustic, old-world patina that contrasts beautifully with the clear glass. The iron is signed on the bottom, and the piece comes with its original tag.
Jan Barboglio pieces sit at the pinnacle of luxury artisan home decor. Her work is known for blending rugged hand-forged iron, mouth-blown glass, spiritual symbolism, Mexican hacienda influence, and heirloom-quality craftsmanship. Collectors rarely buy just one Barboglio piece — they layer votives, candelabras, chargers, vessels, and sculptural accents together to create dramatic candlelit displays.
This piece also reflects the collectible tradition of Barboglio’s Milagro storytelling. The included card adds to the collector experience with the emotional blessing-style narrative Barboglio buyers often save, track, and keep with their pieces.
This listing is for one Jan Barboglio Topper Votive. Two are available — select quantity 2 at checkout if you would like the matching pair.

JAN BARBOGLIO
After many years designing clothing with her sister in their Barboglio Cristina & Jan Collection, Jan Barboglio began sculpting accessories and furniture for her own home. Her childhood, spent in north central Mexico, would prove to be fertile ground for inspiration, and every object created by her would carry with it the rich history and romance of old Mexico.
Barboglio’s initial designs of wax grabbers were for her silver, bronze and iron candelabra. Altar pieces and house blessing crosses were integrated into her own home furnishings. Her love of entertainment would later result in her own iron chargers, platters and chafing dishes. Leather goods and saddle stools began to fill her home. All of these influences are evident in her Jan Barboglio Collection of today.
Jan Barboglio’s original designs led the way for her current and extensive home accessories line. The Jan Barboglio Collection has since flourished into crosses and crowns, fleur de lis and scrolls, wildflowers and roses, guardian angels and symbolic bleeding hearts. From her signature Box of Miracles which houses 12 metal “milagros”, prayer and family crosses, Barboglio is now well-known for bringing the spiritual aspect of old Mexico to home decor.
