This is a matching pair of Heywood-Wakefield step end tables from the 1950s–60s. If you know the name Heywood-Wakefield, you already know what you're looking at — one of the most collectible Mid-Century Modern furniture brands in America, established in 1826. Comparable pairs sell for hundreds online.
These are the classic HW three-tier step design: a lower shelf, a main surface, and an elevated upper platform, connected by beautifully sculpted curved side panels. Four turned legs per table. Solid birch construction — not veneer, not particleboard, real wood with gorgeous visible grain. Both tables bear the circular Heywood-Wakefield maker's stamp on the underside (Model 1510).
Condition is honest vintage — 60+ years of patina, surface character marks, and the kind of warm lived-in look that MCM collectors love. Structurally solid. All legs are straight and tight. No breaks, no repairs, no missing parts. These are original, authentic Heywood-Wakefield pieces with maker's stamps to prove it.
Dimensions (each): approximately 22"H × 17" W × 29"L
