Wendell Washer (1947-2022) was one of the amazing animators who spent his life creating the shows and features we loved as children, working for Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, Filmation, Marvel and more. We were fortunate enough to acquire a large portion of the animation material from his estate.
He did work on several of the episodes for the TV cartoon! And we have quite a few stacks of production copy Models, Props and Layouts that he used. These are from his personal files and were used by him to make the episodes!
And THIS is a real rarity! It is a "flipper" that Wendell made to help him draw throughout the episode. Basically it is a horizontal piece of paper and he taped quite a few strips of copied character poses across layered on top of each other, going down the page. He hand-labeled each one and could just flip up that character/pose to reference the models. This is ONE OF A KIND! The full page measures approx. 8.5" x 14".
