1960 SMP Chevy Corvette 2dr Convertible Dealership Promo Model in Ermine White with Red Interior, No Box.

Up for sale here is a 1/25th scale plastic dealer promotional model Car that was produced by the SMP Co. for the Chevrolet Motor Co. Car does NOT come with its original box. The car is in otherwise good condition as a whole – Please see all photos as these too assist in describing the car. A nice classic that displays well. (some dust particles may be in photos).

Note: The under carriage seems a little snug/tight and misaligned causing the car not to sit perfectly level (wobbles some). The body (around the doors shows as being a little bowing out. Not sure what is causing this as the frame/under carriage is fasten securely to the body except perhaps being exposed to heat at some point. Additionally, the window frame around the front windshield appears to have been broken or cracked at some point but later repaired. With that said, it's still a nice classic that displays well.

Each year, as new vehicles got introduced, these scale models would be produced featuring the style, options, and various colors offered by the Chevrolet Motor Co. on that particular model vehicle. The customer could immediately see firsthand the design and colors offered and could even take these models home with them to ponder their purchasing the car and/or would get one upon purchasing it from the dealer.

Here we have a 1960 Chevy Corvette 2dr Convertible in Ermine White, with silver. The red with silver insert interior has a nice attention to detail. The chrome all around the Car is in good condition but showing some chrome fading (especially around the hubcaps and bumper area). Has chrome hubcaps and wide whitewall tires. Doors, hood, and trunk area do not open but wheels roll although slightly tight/stiff.

This Car, as well as several other cars listed for sale, comes from the collection/estate of Bob Muncrief. Muncrief was a professional major league baseball player and later was a sale’s representative at Bob Hayes Chevrolet Company out of Dallas, Texas in the 1960s-1970s. Muncrief collected these cars and kept them in their original boxes and stored away for years which ultimately preserved their life.

As an added BONUS, we are including an original signed/autographed personal canceled check of Bob Muncrief's from 1989 (Check #7595).

A copy of his original business card along with a photo of Bob and his Son as well as photos of Muncrief in uniform are presented here for reference but are not included in this sale.
