16 keys and unlike other similar controllers I have seen that split over 2 rows ive made this so your hands stay pretty much planted in one place - the split space for thumbs and additional buttons within minimal reach of little finger and pointed. The basis for this kind of design is an awareness for how I am learning a new game, having to find my way around the controller getting in the way of finding my flow and staying in the moment. I've had several of these go out and reviews have been positive, set up as a keyboard with 16 keys individually addressable and 4 tactile switches for menus and such. 
If you have shopped around for similar controllers the prices can be quite extreme - some choices were made to help this one be as reliable and solid as possible and keep prices lower. It does not have hot swap sockets for the keys, they are soldered in, this is more reliable than depending on solder to anchor in hotswap sockets. The controllers are fixed in to their cases to aid rigidity without having to spend 3x more on getting that rigidity purely through extra thick PCBs.

Main difference from the prototype previously listed is I have made sure to leave the pico's bootsel button exposed, ideally one wanted the final version to appear a bit more polished but that just meant making some functions more awkward just for aesthetics and the people that requested these had to keep waiting. There is a resin gasket with light spreading to help stiffen the middle.

Uses gp2040-ce firmware, set up as a keyboard,  the split space can be set to the same or separate input, details on the github.
