Nice Hollandite Star Quartz from Madagascar

Originally collected from Anketsaketsa, Ambositra region, Madagascar.

Size is 32mm x 22mm, 12.9 grams.

Quartz is Silicon dioxide, SiO2, Hardness is 7.

Hollandite is an oxide mineral with the chemical formula: Ba(Mn4+6Mn3+2)O16. Hardness is 5 on the Mohs scale.
