This is a used vintage unit from the 1970s showing visible signs of wear including scratches and dirt on the exterior surfaces. No original wooden cabinet or manuals are included. The unit displays typical cosmetic wear consistent with age and previous use.

✅ Operation Check

Power supply verified OK. Dial and meter illumination functioning. All basic controls operational including function selector, tuning, and muting switch. AM reception confirmed with meter deflection and audio output verified on both left and right channels. Muting circuit functioning properly. FM reception could not be tested due to lack of antenna connection, though FM circuitry itself is not believed to be defective. Tuning meter shows proper response.

The Sansui TU-666 is a solid state FM/AM stereo tuner released in June 1970 at 33,800 yen. It features advanced FM technology with FET front-end, 4-stage IF and 3-stage limiter using IC, achieving 45dB effective selectivity. The frequency linear 3-row varicon provides equal spacing from 76-90 MHz with 250 kHz precision reading. Notable features include electronic FM stereo/mono switching with automatic operation, smoked acrylic illuminated dial, both 300 ohm balanced and 75 ohm coaxial antenna inputs, and muting circuit for inter-station noise elimination. FM tuning range 88-108 MHz, MW 535-1605 kHz, 65dB S/N ratio, 700mV output. Made in Japan by Sansui Electric Co., Ltd., Tokyo. Serial number partially visible: 21007001X with final digit unreadable due to age.
