The frame is merely to protect the canvas in shipping.  It is ugly and doesn't fit the painting well and held together poorly. There is no glass.  I bought the painting like this so I'll ship it off like this.   The crappy frame looks like imitation wormwood but it could be real.  Either way it is not good.  

The painting and canvas is quite large.  It is 28" long and 22" wide.  There is some crackling of the paint here and there, some chipping from not having any glass, and some scratching of the background.  It still looks fantastic to a football lover.

This is perfect for a den, man cave, the office of a fan, anywhere you want to show your love and appreciation for the legendary quarterback, Johnny Unitas.  

Properly framed, this piece will look great, is totally original, and will become a talking piece.  You'll have to make up whatever you'll talk about as I do not know when, where, or by whom it was created.  I found it at an estate sale and they were also clueless.  I think they unloaded a storage unit but that would be guessing again.  Whatever you come up with for your talking points should probably be better than that.

I ship a lot of unusual things so Johnny will be safe in his travels.
