The group consists of:

  1. RAOB Roll of Honor neck jewel with ribbon and lion emblem (named to Bro. C. Mathews)
  2. Grand Lodge of England medal – Halton on Mersey Lodge No. 9954 (named to Bro. William C. Mathews, initiated 20-11-78)
  3. Grand Lodge of England medal – Halton on Mersey Lodge No. 9954 (named to Bro. A. Hodgson, initiated 3-9-79)

A good small grouping with named examples, offering interest for collectors of RAOB and lodge-related memorabilia.

BACKGROUND
The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) is a fraternal organisation with a long history of charitable work. Roll of Honor jewels were awarded to members in recognition of service or merit. Lodge-specific medals such as those from Halton on Mersey Lodge No. 9954 were issued to members and often engraved, adding historical and personal interest.

CONDITION
