Description:
Rare original 1972 UK one-sided white label test pressing of Little Woman Love by Paul McCartney & Wings.
An especially unusual and archive-style Apple test pressing example with no catalogue number present on the labels and only minimal machine-stamped runout information visible.
Side A runout appears to contain only the stamped numeral “1”, while the blank reverse side contains the machine-stamped markings “LPFB” together with what appears to be the number “18”.
The disc features the characteristic serrated/textured edge around the centre label area associated with vintage UK EMI/Apple pressings of the period. This manufacturing detail was commonly used during the autochanger/Dansette era to help stacked records grip and separate correctly, and is rarely, if ever, found on modern vinyl pressings.
The vinyl is in excellent condition overall with very glossy clean surfaces and only light signs of careful previous handling/play.
Playback is excellent throughout with only occasional faint traces of background crackle, otherwise delivering very punchy and clear audio.
Very little spindle wear visible.
A highly collectible and rather mysterious early-1970s UK Apple test pressing with particularly strong appeal to Beatles, McCartney and EMI archive collectors.
Will be sent carefully packed in a strong protective mailer.
