LIMA OO Gauge L205093* Class 31 '5518' British Railways Green Double Arrow

Thank you for viewing our listing for this OO gauge model of the Class 31, number 5518 (there is no 'D' prefix), manufactured by Lima (L205093*). It wears an interesting livery, painted in British Railways green with white roof, full yellow ends and white bodyside bands, but with the BR double arrow on the bodyside, an interesting changeover livery.

The model features the standard Lima plastic construction with a great big lump of metal inside. It has separately fitted buffers.

The model is in good, used condition and has been test run to ensure proper operation. It runs well but as with any Lima model, it's older so don't expect the same performance as a modern loco and it's worth noting that it can draw a lot of power which some newer controllers may not like. Unfortunately some of the bodyside handrails are missing and there are some marks where they look to have been glued in the past. The box is in good condition with some shelf wear. Please view all of the images to help gain a better understanding of any damaged areas.

This is a nice model of the iconic Class 31. It would make a great addition to your layout or an ideal project for some detailing!

ABOUT US - TEST TRACK MODELS

Hi, I'm Tom, a model railway lifer and car tragic. I've spent many, many hours working on model railway layouts at home, being roped-in by my dad at a young age! I also have a passion for cars and used to collect 1:18 scale examples.

With over 10 years' experience buying & selling on eBay and having spent all of my working life in different levels of retail I decided to take a risk, leave my career and set up Test Track Models, intending to bring good value to a strong selection of pre-owned model railway items, cars of all scales and perhaps the other odd thing in between.

It's been exciting so far (and a steep learning curve) and I look forward to where it might end up.

I commit to reusing packaging where I can to lessen any impact, and using options such as paper packing tape.

With thanks,
Tom
