About the author
Miura Shigetoshi. Western armorer. Born in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture in 1935. Graduated from Hosei University Faculty of Law and took fencing. While helping his father's law firm, he joined the Japan External Trade Organization and started an export business. Joined The Arms & Armour Society in London and Societe des amis du Musee de l'Armee in Paris. In 1976, he announced the restored Western armor at the Japan International Artist Club of UNESCO. An exhibition of works was held at Axus in Roppongi in 1996. Major books and technical language reviews, "Knight and Armor" Continental Shobo, 1975. "New English-Japanese Dictionary" Kenkyusha, 1980. "Random House English-Japanese Dictionary" Shogakukan, 1993. "Illustrated Western Armor Weapons Dictionary" Kashiwa Shobo, 2000.
